This educational programme was organized in collaboration with the Curators of Antiquities and the Acropolis. Pupils from our town were given the chance to recompose the structure of the Parthenon Frieze and get an idea of what Ancient Athens looked like by means of transparencies, photographs, and casts. 

The most important part of Panathinaia –the grand celebration organized in honor of the goddess Athina- was the resplendent procession whose last stop was the Acropolis. 

Feidias represented this procession in the Parthenon Frieze, where almost 360 human images and more than 200 animal figures were depicted. We were able to reconstruct the Parthenon Frieze and experience life in the Athens of the classical era by looking its artistic constructions by means of the special equipment provided by the Curators of Antiquities and the Acropolis. 

We had many discussions about the gods and religion, the celebrations and everyday life of the Ancient Greeks.
